Some of the movies that were shot here are
legendary: Sergio Leone's 'Dollars' trilogy ('A Fistful of Dollars',
'For a Few Dollars More' and 'The Good, the Bad and the Ugly')
starring Clint Eastwood as the Man with No Name, 'Django' with
Franco Nero, over a hundred titles were at least partially filmed
in these dusty streets. Almería was also used as a location
for other film genres after the sixties (Patton, The Wind and
the Lion, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade) but it was the
spaghetti-western that really defined the relationship between
the province and the film industry.
Opening times: Winter 10.00-19.00,
Shows daily at 12.00 and 17.00; Summer 10.00-20.00, shows daily
at 12.00, 17.00 and 20.00. Closed Mondays and November 1 - December
14.
Reserva Zoologica: The Wildpark with
Iberian and African Fauna with more of 100 species gathered
in the park. At the entrance you will visit the Birds area with
a collection of exotics birds. There is an assortment of more
than 40 types of Reptilien; the Crocodile pond; the felines
place and a funny zoo for children.
