Turre is a delightful small village
slightly inland, set against the spectacular backdrop of the
Cabrera mountain range, centrally situated to all the local
points of interest. Still part of the old traditional Spain
with its warm and friendly population.
There are supermarkets, some
very interesting shops, and many excellent and reasonably priced
Spanish owned restaurants and bars.
An inland village of Muslim origin
dedicated to farming. Numerous restaurants specializing in regional
food. A large part of the district of Turre is in the Sierra
Cabrera, a mountain range of extraordinary beauty which is ideally
suited to rock climbing. The ruins of the ancient Hispanic/Muslim
villages of Teresa and Cabrera. The Cortijo Grande urbanization
with its golf course, and the architecturally memorable urbanization
in Cabrera.
